Atlas was sold to Grupo PRODI: Orlegi Sports loses its sister club. The Sporting expects increased economic resources with Santos Laguna as its only sister club. The sale of Atlas CF was consummated after the approval of the General Assembly of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF). Grupo PRODI acquired the property of the club with the authorization of the National Antimonopoly Commission (CNA). The transaction responds to the shared vision of the parties to consolidate the institutional stability of the Club and ensure the continuity of a long-term comprehensive sports project. During its management, Orlegi has driven a comprehensive transformation process of Atlas FC in the fields of sports, institutional and financial. Among the main results are the achievement of a Double Championship of Liga MX — after more than seven decades without titles —, the development of high-performance infrastructure of reference in the region in the construction of the AGA Academy, as well as the consolidation of its talent formation processes, professional structures, operational stability and foundation for sustained growth. The President of the Board of Directors of Orlegi, Alejandro Irarragorri Gutiérrez, stated: «This process was conducted under criteria of diligence, order and transparency, guaranteeing that the new ownership has the necessary capabilities to continue the institutional project and promote the future development of Atlas FC». He also stated: «We trust that, under the leadership of José Miguel Bejos and his team, the Club will continue its evolution, to the benefit of its fans, Jalisco and Mexican football». Both parties will collaborate closely to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. Orlegi will continue to manage Atlas until June 30.
