The circular economy in the seven Galician cities is the central axis of the fourth edition of the Galicia Sustainability Atlas. This editorial project is driven by Economía Digital Galicia and analyzes the urban sustainability dynamics of the seven Galician cities based on homologable indicators and official sources. The first edition of this Atlas was carried out by building its own indicators focused on environmental areas. In the second, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were addressed, and in the third, presented last year, the leap was beyond the defined territorial urban area, including also the areas of influence of the seven Galician cities. This fourth edition focuses on the circular economy and the sustainable management of urban resources. The decision responds to a convergence of factors that place circularity at the center of the European political agenda and, by extension, of any region that aspires to align with the standards of the European Union. The Atlas has the support of organizations and companies such as the Deputación da Coruña, Sogama, Espina, Reganosa, Exlabesa, Iberdrola, Ence and Veolia. The Galicia Sustainability Atlas is “brother” of another consolidated project, the Galicia Compromised Company Atlas, whose sixth edition was presented last month in Santiago with the presence of the President of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, and the Director of Sustainability of Inditex, Fernando de Bunes, as well as the editor of the Economy Digital Group, Juan García.
